Wireless and RF Engineer

Keep personal devices connected in ordinary homes. You will make wireless performance reliable when walls, interference and device placement complicate the design.

Not open yet: Pilot expansion

This work starts when that stage arrives, so there is no application to submit today and we will not pretend otherwise. What is written below is what the role is for and what would make somebody right for it, published early on purpose so you can decide whether it is worth watching.

The work

What this person actually does

Evaluate antennas, coexistence, radio modules and network behavior. Collaborate with mechanical and system engineers on placement and shielding. Plan regional radio testing with qualified labs and use certified modules where they meet the product's needs.

The milestone

What it looks like when it is working

In your first 90 days, deliver a household connectivity test matrix and resolve the most important reliability bottleneck.

Evidence

What would show us you can do it

Bring RF, wireless systems or embedded connectivity experience. Show how you distinguish radio problems from protocol, power-management and application failures.

Evidence, not credentials. We are describing work you can point at, in whatever form it exists.

The exercise

How we would look at it together

Design an experiment to explain why a device works well on a bench but repeatedly disconnects in a crowded home network.
