Not open yet: Pilot expansion

This work starts when that stage arrives, so there is no application to submit today and we will not pretend otherwise. What is written below is what the role is for and what would make somebody right for it, published early on purpose so you can decide whether it is worth watching.

The work

What this person actually does

Develop macOS and iOS components using supported platform capabilities. Integrate protected storage, authentication, accessibility and local model execution where suitable. Design around actual background-execution and permission limits, and maintain a tested platform capability matrix.

The milestone

What it looks like when it is working

In your first 90 days, deliver a native path from setup to a useful local or explicitly delegated task, including clear failure and recovery states.

Evidence

What would show us you can do it

Bring strong Apple-platform engineering and product craftsmanship. Experience with Swift, native frameworks or low-level macOS systems is relevant to the assigned scope.

Evidence, not credentials. We are describing work you can point at, in whatever form it exists.

The exercise

How we would look at it together

Explain how a phone should present an ongoing task when its operating system suspends the app that started it.
